Spanish

Spanish was first introduced at Somerset in 2005.  Our staff is joined by native speaking Spanish teachers from Bright Loritos in Troy. They provide an introduction to the Spanish language.  Studies indicate that children most easily acquire a second language between birth and age six, and that the language educator should be a native speaker.  Spanish is taught in a fun and developmentally appropriate immersion-based interactive process through music, movement and story.
