The school is housed in Lutheran Church of the Master and is not affiliated with the church except for leasing space. When the church was involved in major reconstruction, the preschool and prekindergarten classrooms were built. The rooms were designed and planned specifically for an early childhood center.

The main entrance of the school is located at the rear of the building by the parking lot. Somerset Academy has a large fenced in playground in close proximity to the parking lot which allows for outside play year round.
